Yes I like this new toy. But I must get the squeak out of it and get fluff all over the carpet...#dogsoftwitter #dogsneedtails

A couple of days ago after a nice walk I stood on one of my rawhide chews and I cut the pad open on my back foot. Today I'm bein taken to the vets. Hopefully they will make it all better.

Lady meets Badger!
We got a kitten yesterday, didnt intend to get one yet but what they hay!
Anyway introductions went a lot better than expected, with Lady's tail constantly wagging and the cat clearly being in charge! We kept Lady on a house lead just in case but well. I reckon they'll be best of friends soon!
Badger has his own blog too:

Clyde looking fitter

Since getting on a proper diet(no more wet meat, especially cat food!) and getting exercised he is looking leaner. You wouldnt believe when you look at him how fit he is-if excited he will leap into the air, and one night he leapt off Helens lap onto mine-she was sat on the sette and i was in a chair!

A video of them playing
15 August,fun on the field.

We took them out for a walk on our local dog patch, a huge field behind us. I brought a Frisbee with us and some treats in a bum bag and so we decided to gingerly let Lady off the lead.
First she made a bee line for Katie who had ran ahead, typical terrier wants to chase! Then I threw the frisbee while saying 'Lady,Go Fetch' and she ran afyer it like a rocket, picked it up and brought it back to us, that preliminary indoor training paid off!
Clyde was with us but stayed by our side, he had a poorly foot and a bit of a limp so we took things easy with him. Then we got Lady's pink squeeky Kong out and that was it, he wanted to play! When we threw it his ears picked up and he shot after it-you'd never guess he was an old dog!
He wouldnt retrieve it though; we had to do thwe fetching ourselves, unless Katie got there first!
Here's a distant shot of Clyde and Lady playing tug of war with that Kong!

9 August-better feeding
Here he is after a good run roud the garden, chasing Lady.
He's really settling in now, and we've found a food they both like, James Wellbeloved! Lady was a bit picky when it comes to the dry stuff but she loves this one, and she's guaranteed to clear the bowl. I'm glad because she's looking a bit thin round the back and being a whirling dervish of a dog she needs lots of energy rich food. Clyde on the other hand is on a senior variety with less protein, as he's a bit err overweight(10 KG in a Patterdale!)

30 July, thinking...
When we got Lady she was just a JR with long legs, maybe a Parsons, but we've been looking at terrier pics online and in Dogs Today and my other half mentioned that she looks like a smooth Fox Terrier, and having googled for pics of that breed I have to agree!

The father was a proper scruffy mad JR, a bit like Eddie from Frazier, but mum was different. I only got a quick look at her but she reminded me of a long beaked JR,lots of black in the head, and very sleek,;the missus mentioned the possibility of Whippet in there!
Hmmmm
